Yaakov Neeman, Legal Advisor

Mr. Neeman is co-founder and senior partner of Herzog Fox & Neeman, and is one of Israel’s leading corporate law and tax attorneys. He served as Director General of Israel’s Ministry of Finance from 1979 to 1981 and as Minister of Finance during 1997 and 1998. Mr. Neeman has been active on numerous public committees including the Tax Reform Committee, the Public Commission of Inquiry into the Structure of Local Government in Israel, and the Investigation Committee of the Temple Mount Affair. He has served as Chairman of the Committee of Inquiry into the Inter-Relation Between the Tax Laws and Foreign Currency Restrictions and the Public Committee on the Allocation of Distributions by the Ministry of Interior. Mr. Neeman has served as a member of the Board of Governors of the Bank of Israel and as a member of the Central Committee of the World Bank. Mr. Neeman received an L.L.M. and J.S.D. with honors from New York University and an L.L.B. from Hebrew University, Jerusalem.
