Amir Kess, Co-Founder and Managing Director
Prior to joining the Fund, Mr. Kess founded and was Chief Executive Officer of Poalim-M&A, a joint venture with Poalim Capital Markets, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bank Hapoalim. Poalim-M&A provides investment banking services. For the seven years prior to founding Poalim-M&A, Mr. Kess was Executive Vice President of Arison Holdings Ltd., one of Israel’s largest private equity investment companies focusing primarily on investments in industrials, real estate, banking, communications, media and technology. In this role, Mr. Kess oversaw mergers, acquisitions, planning and execution of corporate strategies. During his tenure with Arison, the firm was directly and indirectly responsible for investments in Israeli companies valued at over $1 billion. Mr. Kess also participated in the founding and initial public offerings of Partner Communications Ltd., Housing and Construction Holding Co. Ltd., and Internet Gold. While at Arison, Mr. Kess served on the Board of Directors of over 20 companies. Mr. Kess served in a variety of positions including Chairman, Vice Chairman, and on executive committees. Prior to joining Arison, Mr. Kess was an attorney with the law firm of S. Horowitz & Co. for six years, specializing in securities, corporate and tax law. Mr. Kess received a B.A. in Law Studies from the Tel-Aviv University.
